I become more and more like Charlotte York every day

Charlotte:
I've been dating since I was fifteen. I'm exhausted. Where is he?
Miranda: Who? The White Knight?
That is one of my all time favorite quotes from Sex and the City. My other 2 being "If you're tired of New York, you take a napa...You don't move to Napa" and "Maybe our girlfriends are our soul mates and guys are just people to have fun with".
I digress....back to the topic at hand.
I couldn't agree more with Charlotte. It is exhausting being 32 and still dating. The whole getting to know you phase. It's so awkward and weird. Why can't it be like TV shows and movies where we are just instantly put into the relationship part. Move on to the "I already know everything about you stage" with out being a stalker about it. It is nice when you do know the person previously and know a bit about him before dating him. You don't have to do the whole "What do you do for a living? " "Where did you grow up?" conversation. If you know them, then you already know where they grew up, who their best friend in the 4th grade was and if they are still friends. I know some people say "Oh Christy! That's the BEST part of it all!" Um no...no it's not.
But I know we all have to go through it. Whether you met your love in the 9th grade and the getting to know him part was finding out who he had for English or if he liked the Tortilla Factory over Mimi's better to meeting him when he's 30 and finding out if he's been married before and if he went to college, we all have to go through it.
But when will the awkwardness end? I suppose when I meet that white knight....

Can I borrow your pen?
I had the most amazing time in Phoenix. It started on an amazing note for sure. My sister took me to the airport and on our ride over I have to admit, I was nervous. I wasn't nervous to fly by any means because I had faced that fear in March (not scared of flying itself but you'll see in an old blog why I was) but that I wasn't going to get to cross "have to wear a seat belt extender" on the plane off my list. I went through security, went to my gate and patiently waited. When we were able to board it was the moment of truth. I walked past the flight attendant and gave them a smile. Continued to my seat. Moved the seat belt for me to sit down. Went to buckle it and....I didn't need an extender!!! It was so exciting! Then I decided to try the lap tray. Would it still hit my stomach? Would it be leaning and I'd have to hold my drink and my iPad like before? I reached for the lap tray and......it didn't hit my stomach! I was in awe! Now to see if the arm rest goes down just fine....and it did! I seriously had tears in my eyes. I wanted to cry but in no way wanted to be the weird girl in row 5 seat c crying! So I started thinking about other things to not let myself cry. My mind would go right back to the moment and I'd get teary eyed again. It was such a monumental moment in my life. It made me feel so good that I was able to cross that off of my list. Now to cross some other items off my list :)
I am so blessed to be a part of an amazing company. I knew the O2 Experience was going to be amazing but it blew my expectations out of the water!
I've exploited my trip all over my Facebook and my Instagram so I'm not going to post to many here.
The Sheraton was decorated with O2 swag through out the lobby. So naturally we had to take a picture beside it. The woman in the picture is my friend Renee Alaniz. She and I met when I sold Initial Outfitters. After we left IO we stayed in touch and I'm so thankful that we did. She made the decision about a month ago to join my Origami Owl team, Whooo {Loves} You Team. After she decided that she decided she wanted to go to convention in Phoenix with me. So glad she did too! Even though she had to leave early we had a great time! The 2nd photo is banners that were lined up and down the main streets in downtown Phoenix. All of them had positivity pouring out of them. That is one of the many reason's I love Origami Owl. This one says "Today....Happiness has found you" :)
Even though I have the Whooo {Loves} You team we are also a part of 2 other teams ( I know it's confusing but it'll be easy to keep up with ;). We are a part of the corporate team, The {Love} Team, and a part of The Ruffled Feathers. It was so fun getting to actually meet these women in person. We've all carried on conversations on Facebook either privately or in our group page so it was great to have voices and actual faces to put with their Facebook's. The black and white photo is The {Love} Team in our spirit circle. I named it that so I'm not sure what everyone else is calling it :). We went around the group and introduced ourselves with our names and where we are from then went around and gave high 5's out. How can you not have a great day when you start it out that way? The Love.Inspire.Motivate was one of the slides that was up while we were waiting for things to start. I absolutly love this picture. It's my mantra and the way they displayed it just looks amazing. It definatly rejuvinates me to continue one of my mission of helping and inspiring people to be a better them. Or as O2 would say, To be a force of good :)
We had so much fun at the white party! I was so glad it finally came so I could wear this stinking dress! It has been in my closet for a couple of weeks waiting on this day. I've had to really talk myself out of wearing it a couple of times :). It was a very comfortable dress and I felt really good in it. I'm also proud to say that not a single person had on the same dress lol.
Day 2 was all about breakout sessions. We had a general session in the morning then O2 provided us lunch then we moved onto our breakout sessions. Breakout sessions are pretty much small classes that were 45 minutes long. We could go to 5 of them. They were very crazy but awesome at the same time. In one of them on mentoring (upline is referred to as mentors with Origami Owl) it was standing room only. It was crazy! They also had these fun photo booths with props or you could just be silly.
Here I am in my gala dress. I felt amazing in this dress as well. This is the dress that I almost hyperventilated in the middle of Dillard's over. If you missed that blog check it out here. I told someone that it really was a comfortable dress, so much so I could've just sat in it to watch tv :)
Had such a great time at the awards gala! It was a lot of fun to get all dolled up and see everyone else get dolled up as well. I don't get very many opportunities to get REALLY dressed up so it was so much fun. It really helps a girls self esteem to do that ever so often. They served a dinner salad with a sweet vinaigrette dressing. It also had mandarin oranges and strawberry's. I only ate a few bites of it because I wanted to eat some of the main course. After the salad our main course of roast and chicken with asparagus, mashed potato's, and a carrot came out. I only ate a little bit of the roast and a little bit of the chicken, a bite of the potato's, and the carrot. It was a really good dinner. Then dessert came.... Oh dessert. You are so tempting some times. It's really weird though. Since my surgery and the great loss I've had it is so much easier to say no all together or take a bite or two and then send it away. They served a chocolate mousse desert. It was really good but I really wanted a cup of coffee so I took a bite and then I was done. That brings me to a question. One of the people I was sitting with was eating their's and stated "Ug, I hate chocolate" and proceeded to eat the whole thing. Why do we do that? Earlier that day I had witnessed a woman that was eating a hot dog. She had taken one, maybe two bites of it, say "This is the worst hot dog I have ever eaten" then proceeded to eat the whole hot dog! Why do we do that? Is it because we are hungry or is it because it's food and it's there we're going to eat it? I was discussing this with my Grandmother and she pointed out that older people will eat it even if it's not good because they grew up with parents from the depression era that would make them eat everything on their plates and not waste any food. I agreed that I could understand if that was the case but these people were between 30-55 in age. I think if we just say "Eww this is disgusting" and proceed to throw it in the trash we would all be a lot healthier and a lot thinner. I know it's easier said than done. Trust me. I know :)
One of the exciting things I was looking forward to was Origami Owl giving away a 2013 white Jeep Wrangler. I just knew I was going to win....well I didn't lol. But my friend Kim did! She has been something of an Origami Owl celebrity the past few days. She's all over our newsletters. She was in our webinar. She's EVERYWHERE! lol I love it though! It was so fun actually knowing the person that won. When Bella said her name Amber, Kim, and I started screaming "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh" and then I turned to Kim and both of us looked at each other, took a deep breath and screamed "Oh my gosh!" again. It was so funny!!
Meet Allison! Alice's (Bella's Jeep) sister! Congrats again Kim!
Heartbreak, Accomplishment, and Goals All Rolled Into One Blog

In some ways I had the most amazing week....and in some I had the worst week...
Let's get the worst out of the way. Last weekend I betrayed one of my bestest friends by repeating something that was said. I'm human and I can't say that it's out of character for me to do this, but who I told I thought would keep it between us. She didn't and that's how my Monday started. Everything is cleared up. I owned up to what I did and I learned my lesson. BIG TIME. I have felt terrible ever since and apologized more than once. I think I was even getting on her nerves at one point. I just want her to realize that I can be trusted and to know that it will never ever happen again. It is absolutely the worst feeling knowing that you have let someone you love down.
Now on to happy times :) I started going back to them gym this week! It was so nice to walk back in there! After being lazy for a month and just not going (stupid on my part) and then 6 weeks in a boot, I was finally able to go. I got on the treadmill and decided to start my couch to 5k over. This ap is amazing! If you aren't really a runner but want to get better at it, this ap defiantly for you. You start out doing a 5 minute warm up walk, then you go 1 minute run then to a 1:30 minute walk. You do that until there is 5 minutes left then you do a cool down walk. Each week it changes to where you're running more and by the end of it you are running the entire time. I don't want to say that I'll never be to that point but it seems far off. I'm ok with that. One day at a time :)
Ok, now for the exciting part! When I started my warm up walk I put it on the number I used to start out at. That was to slow for me....I went up on my walking number! I thought wow this is awesome. Then it was time to start my 1 minute run. I put it on what I use to put it on.....that number went up too! I was ecstatic! Here is the real test though....Would I go the whole minute and could I do it with out looking down at my phone to see how many seconds I had left in the minute run? Well......I did! And more than once! I pretty much just focused on running, breathing, a spot on the wall....and every run was great! One of my future goals is for next year's splash dash to run the whole thing with the girls.
A bucket list item should be crossed off this coming week when I fly to Phoenix. I am hoping that when I have a layover I'm able to blog and say that I did not need a seat extender. Woot Woot! It will be so nice to just walk right past the flight attendant, give them a smile, walk proudly to my seat, sit down and buckle my seat belt with no hesitation. We shall see.....

Plateau, I Do Not Like You

Dearest Plateau you are not welcome here.......
I've hit a plateau. I'm either staying the same weight every week when I weigh or its one pound. Now don't get me wrong, I love seeing the minus one and not the plus one every week. I just wish some weeks it was more.
In the beginning everyone would ask me what my goal weight is. I would respond with I have no clue. I would say that because it was true. I hadn't been past a certain point in 15 years so I didn't know where I ultimately wanted to be. Now that I am down 159 (yep! You read that right:) I have a better idea of where I want my final number to be. I have 98 ponds to go and I can't wait! I've decided it was time to look into plastic surgery for skin removal so that's my next project. Wish me luck with that on picking the best doctor for me :)
I've had about 3 things happen to me in my weightless journey in the past few weeks. I am going to Phoenix to the 1st ever Origami Owl convention and needed a dress for a gala. So I've been stalking web pages for weeks. Pinning different things. My mind being in the mind frame from the past that I'm going to have to specialty order a dress. One of the things on my weight loss bucket list is to go to a "normal" store and purchase something. Now really it's go to a "normal" store and purchase something not in the plus size section, but I'll take this first and then officially mark it off my list in the future. I went to Dillard's and went to the appropriate section for me. I started looking and started finding so many dresses in my size. Not only formals, but just regular dresses that I could wear if I were to get invited to dinner or something (wishful thinking lol). I take them to the dressing room and start trying them on. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but don't formals usually run smaller? Almost everyone I put on was a little big. The one I decided on was a little big but I was just going to settle on it. I mean, go down a size? That's just crazy talk right? After texting a picture to my panel of judges they all said that I need to see if there is a smaller size and try it on to see which one looked better. I decide they are right and walk out to search for a smaller size, thinking everyone is crazy. I find the smaller size and go back to the fitting room. Put the dress on and.....it fits like a glove! I was so excited and couldn't stop smiling as I checked it out in the mirror. I took a picture and everyone agreed it look better than the one before. After it being decided that this was the dress for me I made my way to the clerk to purchase it. I texted my sister and McCarley (who were on the same text), that I think I'm fixing to hyperventilate in the middle of Dillard's because I was buying a size I hadn't seen since probably my sophomore/junior year of high school. After purchasing the dress I could not get the giddiness out of my system. Then the next two only happened last night. We were swimming/cooking out for Robbie's husbands birthday at her parents pool that also includes a slide. I made the comment I really wanted to go down the slide, then immediately started worrying. What's the weight limit? Will my butt be to big and me get stuck? How embarrassing would that be? After contemplating going down the slide with all these fears I decided to just do it. I made my way up the stairs. About half way up I see the weight limit sign. What?!?! I'm 30 lbs under the weight limit? That never happens! I get to the top and sit down. Feels good, not small compared to my butt. I push myself to go and go flying down the slide with ease! It was so much fun! I didn't even feel like there was a chance of me getting stuck! I went down that thing so many times! I even went down on my stomach! After accomplishing my fear of the slide I decided to accomplish another one. When we were growing up we lived at the pool. We were there so much I joke around with a friend who was a lifeguard there that she was our instant babysitter. I learned to dive at that pool and I learned to back dive at that pool. Back diving was my favorite. I decided to just get on the diving board and if I didn't go straight and caused a tidal wave whatever, at least I tried. I'm standing on the edge of the diving board and there I go....I did it! That was so much fun I had to it again over and over! I felt so accomplished! Needless to say its been a GREAT couple of weeks for the self esteem!
I understand that some of the things I write about are probably not the most attractive with possible relationships but its part of who I am. Everyone brings baggage to the relationship and mine just happens to be this. He will either accept it or not because as sad as it is its a part of who I was making me who I am today.

It's official.....
I have lost 150 lbs :)
It's been amazing! I've gone down 5 sizes too.
When people ask me what my number is I get excited and sad at the same time. I'm so excited to know that I've worked hard (yes, even though I have this tool it is still hard work), yet sad that I had that much to lose to begin with. Some have mentioned, with excitement, "Oh my gosh! You've lost a whole person!" Yes, it is very exciting to have been successful so far, but I shouldn't have had a whole person to lose to begin with. I just got side tracked and before I knew it I was where I was.
The good news is......I won't ever be back there again. People say "Oh so and so had a surgery like that and they gained all their weight back". Ya not this girl. I've worked to hard and spent to much money to go back.
Plus.....I like the way healthy and happy fit :)
Here's my comparison picture :)

I know I'm going to sound so ridiculous when I say this but.....
I am so excited that I can feel my collar bone! lol
I know! I sound ridiculious but for someone that hasn't seen her collar bone in quite some time it feels amazing! I catch myself feeling it during the day lol. And when I look in the mirror I can see it and that makes me excited as well :)
So one of my friends from high school had the sleeve surgery this past Monday. I was just as giddy the day before and the day of for her like I was for my own surgery and I was the same way with my Dad when he had his surgery.
Speaking of my Dad, he is doing amazing with his surgery! Since March 6th (when he started his liquid diet) he has lost 48 lb's! He is off of all his medications!! That is so amazing!! I'm so excited for him and the journey he's going through.
Remember that one shirt ? Well....
I can wear it!! With confidence even!! It was so exciting when I put it on and looked in the mirror! Today I'm going through my closet today and getting rid of a lot of my stuff that is way to big for me. I'll be limited to my wardrobe choices for a while but it'll be worth it to get it out of my closet lol.

Look who is posting two times in a row...
I couldn't help but not when I put my shirt on this morning! Lol ok that sounds worse than it is but you'll get it in a minute :)
There was a shirt that I had bought about 2 years ago that when I received it, it didn't fit. And until I had surgery it still didn't fit. And now....
It's awesome to see the transformation with my clothes. I had been in between sizes but Saturday I put on the next size down in jeans on and they fit! I was getting so tired of baggy jeans but couldn't wear the next size yet so I just had to be patient. Thank goodness those are done!
As of today I am down..... 129! Woot Woot!

I DID IT!!
After months of waiting and anticipating, I finally got to participate in the Neon Splash Dash! It was a great weekend all together though. I flew out on Friday March 22nd to Houston and that was something to check off my weight loss bucket list by it's self (check out my blog on that here Weight Loss Bucket List ). I was a little nervous before I got on the plane but once I was on the actual plane and in my seat it was all ok.
The next day when I woke up McCarley and I had coffee on her back patio while we sat and chatted and drank. I really wish we lived closer so we could do it more often but I cherish it even more when we do get to. We were entertained by Olivia doing cheers and being her cute self :) We even let Scott join us on the patio for a little bit lol. After that we got ready and by that time Alicia had joined us (Lindsey met us there) at McCarley's for us to head to Houston. I'm so glad McCarley suggested getting a hotel room instead of us driving back that night. We would have been exhausted! We got checked in and relaxed before getting ready for the dash.....
There were so many people there! Oh my gosh! It was crazy!! After we waited in line for our t-shirts ,blinking necklaces, and bracelets we were greeted by Lindsey to wait for the race to start. Once we had our whole team there it got a lot more fun.
They had us line up in front of the start line and it felt like they were herding us in like cattle lol. They let so many go at a time and finally it was our turn! One funny thing that happened right out of the gate was a girl tripped over a cone and hit the ground. Kinda felt bad for her because doesn't that give the rest of the race a bad omen for her? lol. They had check points (which we believe was every half K but we aren't for sure) where we were sprayed with glow in the dark stuff. I say stuff because it was kinda foamy. I made a joke to McCarley that I felt like we were at a rave/foam party lol. And poor McCarley kept getting hit in the ear and at one point I looked and she had got hit in the eye. She was a trooper about it though :). After we hit all the check points and was sprayed with all different colors we hit the finish line! It felt like a huge accomplishment to me!
We might have looked like hot mess' but it was an absolute blast!!! If you are looking for a fun run defiantly try this one out! I even have friends that are wanting to do it in September already :) I might just have to participate with them...maybe even run more than I did this time.
