Oh ya!

And if you want to check out my handsome nephew go here to Cymbre's page

BUNCO!!!!! again....lol

Can you tell I love playing bunco with my friends?  lol This group that I play with is my "new" group.  I wanted to be able to play with my other friends too so I decided to start another bunco group.  We have had so much fun for our first year.  We had our Christmas bunco on Monday and with this group we drew names.  I drew Ragan's name and I think I got her a super fun gift lol.  I got her a 3 month subscription to Netflix.  I have it and thought she'd love it too :)  I put it in a cute little plastic popcorn sack (that Kristy found for me at Target :) I was so glad cause I had looked everywhere! lol) and put Reece's in the bottom, a Coke, and some popcrn on top.  Robbie had drawn my name and looky what she got me :)

For those that know me, know I'm a huge NKOTB fan.  My sister and I got to meet them and sit 3rd row on the first leg of the reunion tour in Dallas a year ago.  It was amazing.  When we were younger we would listen to this on cassette lol while we decorated the tree.  It was pretty much tradition at our house lol.  She also got me a gift  card to Cpl Ray's (coffee shop here in town....and in my oppinion actually better than Starbucks lol)...yummmm oooooo!

Here are some shots from it :) Robbie got camera happy lol.  Betty ended up getting most bunco's,  I took 2nd, and Hilda took most losses.  I think Christy Snodgrass took 1st but I can't remember....darn that old age....lol.

I'm guessing Betty rolled bad or became camera shy lol.

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas

I went to my Nan's the other day and I love going there at Christmas.  There's always familiar things that represent Christmas to me....

We always have Santa.....

All of us grandkids have stockings that were all made for us.  Mike even has one like the rest of us.  Jan Castleman has started making them for gifts at the baby showers.  Cymbre was so excited for Ranston's at her shower :)

BUNCO!!!!!

I love to play bunco.  I play with 2 different groups I love it so much...lol.  Well I mainly have two groups because I want to be able to hang out with both groups lol.  I've been playing bunco with my old group for about 10 years now.  It's crazy to think that lol.  My friend Natasha had asked me to be a sub at her mom's group and I accepted....then I became a permenant member.  This year we did things a little different except 3 things.  We still ate good food, had a great time, and had our big roll off lol.  Every year we bring 12 extra dollars and we have a roll off with your table and whoever rolls the highest number get's the $48 :).  We were down 2 people this year so every "table" got $40.

We also exchanged gifts but normally we would draw names but we did a Chinese Christmas and I ended up getting Becky's gift which is amazing!  Cynthia, Becky, and Kim make these blankets and they are fabulous! I'm going to have to get them to help me make a few lol.

Also, yesterday morning this is what I woke up to......

Not what I wanted to see lol.  I HATE snow.  I HATE cold.  I was not happy lol.  It's not that I really hate snow I hate the ice that comes with it.  This is what it looked like when I got to work......

Randomness

Here's a few quick pics from my trip to my sisters :)  I didn't take as mny pic's as I had hoped but lol there are a few and there are a few on Cymbre's....

Got a really good cup of coffee the next morning at the cutest little cafe in Junction...

No trip to Beeville would be complete with out a trip to Chuy's in San Antonio :) So good!!

Gobble Gobble

I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone already. This year I went and had lunch at my Grandmother's and then my Dad and I headed out to Beeville to hang out with my sister and Mike. So for the picture above....I recieved an electric knife for my birthday last year and this was my first chance to use it. It works so good lol!

One of my family's traditions is broccoli casserole. It's so freakin tasty lol. Here are the ingredients you'll need:

2 bags of frozen broccoli
1 meduim size box of rice
1 small onion
1 cup of celery
Butter
2 cans of cream of mushroom
2 cups of milk
1 lb velveeta

Before you start anything, you must put your tv on the 90's channel. It's always appropriate to jam out while cooking.......

First, pre heat the oven at 350 degree's. Then put 2 tbsp of butter in the bottom of a quart sized pot. Then add the small onion and cup of celery that you've chopped to the melted butter.

Then once you feel the onion and celery are going good, pour 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and 2 cups (cans to keep the clean up down lol) of milk to the onion and celery.

Once the soup and milk are combined and blended add the frozen broccoli to the soup or you can cook it first and then add. It will cook while it's in the soup but it's up to you if you want to do it that way.

Chop the velveeta into tiny cubes and stir in. You want the velveeta to be completley melted when you add the rice to it.

And while the cheese is melting in the soup mixture, start the rice.

Once the rice is done add it to the soup mixture and when completly blended, pour into a 9 X 13 pan and put into the oven for 30-45 min. When it is bubbling and done looking you can take it out and serve :) Enjoy and happy holidays!

It's a Glove Thing...

My sister and I love fall/winter for the simple fact we can wear gloves, scarves, and hats. I especially love fun gloves. I found these at Target in the dollar items. I loved the stripes and I loved that they were open tipped. I have a bad habit called smoking and these are perfect for that. When my sister and I were younger my mom bought us gloves that were open tipped but had the mitten part on it and could be taken back and buttoned if we wanted them to be open. So the first Christmas (I believe it was the first Christmas lol) with my sweet brother in law ,he found a pair at American Eagle and bought them for me. They were damed my "London" gloves lol. I love those gloves still today and that's been 6 years ago!

I was bored Saturday night and so I did my nails. I miss doing nails sometimes. These are sculps. That means I built the tip myself out of acrylic. When I first started doing nails that's what I was taught by my good friends Rita and Cynthia. It's definatly something that takes practice, and boy did I get it lol. I just wanted to post a pic because it's been about a year since I've done a set of sculps. I think they turned out better than my tips with overlays....maybe I really should go back to doing them instead lol.

Allow Me to Introduce Myself....

Just a small town girl..living in a lonley worldddd.... lol. Ok enough Journey for now. I decided to do a small "get to know me" blog for visitors. I'm a 20 something (about to be 30..yikes!) woman living in my small home town again. I love it for the most part. I know some of the most random things and I wouldn't say it's useless because it does come in handy sometimes. I love trivia. Especially about pop culture. I adore music. Love theatre (being on stage and behind the curtain). I work for my Mom and Step Dad doing drug testing. One of my best friends boyfriends once said to me "Christy, you have the most random jobs" lol. Which is true except most of the interesting jobs were part time jobs, and hey a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. Here are the random jobs he was talking about....I once worked for a staffing agency that hired people to go into a convience store and see if they would card me for beer. My dad went with me once and we had so much fun laughing at the poor people who didn't because there facial expression was priceless when I told them they didn't pass. I worked once summer for the arena football team in Odessa at the ticket counter. I do mystery shopping for local resturaunts...hey I get free food and paid a little to go do it. I love my random life and wouldn't trade it for anything :)

Diapers, Diapers, and More Diapers

When my cousin Sumer was pregnant with her precious baby Drake I volunteered to help with her baby shower. I wanted a cute center peice and had gotten a diaper cake for a friends shower and thought "Hey! I could make that!!" lol. So I made a Winnie the Pooh inspired cake and it was super cute for being my first time and I think was a pretty good hit (if I do say so myself lol). So when my friend Janet was talking about her website www.litlbambino.com I started thinking. I need a project/part time job and I enjoyed making Drake's cake so what the heck, let's try this! So Janet is graciously allowing me to put them on her webiste and sell them. I'm also going to be posting them here also. Here are a few that I have made to get the ball rolling. All of them can be customized. I'm excited about some that I have in mind to make. Just need to get the extra add on's. I have some total boy print ribbon that I'm going to be doing in the next couple of days...just think camoflauge and john deere lol.

This is Ranston's cake that I made for his Mama's (my sister Cymbre) shower

And here are some I did so I'd have pictures for my blog and website
