My sister and I LOVE watching Ellen. She always does stuff w/ photo's with cute pics of kids doing funny stuff, bad paid for photo's, what's wrong w/ these photo's, etc. So Cymbre and I submitted one of Ranston.......and it was on her Facebook page AND her website for all of America to see today!!! I love my little mister :)
I'm Dreaming of a Scentsy Christmas
Saturday, September 25, 2010
So I had my Scentsy holiday party today :) It was a great success! I had it at my Nana's and Sumer had helped me carry all my stuff over and decorate. We did a good job lol! If I do say so myself lol.
Don't YOU want a stocking full of Scentsy?
Take me home and earn free Scentsy!
I gave away goodies!! A red snow flake plug in, a heavenly plug in, a gingerbread man full size warmer and a design it yourself warmer w/ the trim the tree stickers :)
See we use old candles to hold door's open now :) lol
A holiday tradition in my family is peanut butter squares, chocolate covered peanuts, and sausage balls (I threw in the tortilla roll ups lol) so of course I had to have treats there :) My Nana made the sausage balls and she wasn't sure if the one batch was enough so she sent me to the store again for more ingredients and I think my family was glad because everyone got to take some home lol. My mom was also nice enough to make wassel!! I love that stuff! This really put me in the holiday spirit and I hope it did everyone that was nice enough to come :)
Reason 432,238,348,121 for why I am tired of being single
Saturday, September 18, 2010
I am so tired of being single for many different reasons but the one that that comes to mind today is I HATE having to go to events alone. I hate going alone even when I'm with my friends because all of their husbands are there. It has got to where I sometimes don't go because I don't want to be the only single person there. It never really bothered me until a couple of months ago. One of my dearest friends is getting married today. One of my other friends said she was gonig to wedding so I thought oh good I'm not going to have to go alone. Well now I'm going alone. I toyed with the thought of calling one of my guy friends from Odessa that knows her as well and seeing if he'd come and go with me but timewise there just isn't enough of it now. As for the "single" issue, yes I go on dates every once in a while and I have let my guard go on a few qualities that would have made me say no in the past. I really am opening my eyes and trying because what if someone who has a quality that I use to think I would hate actually has it and GASP I actually like. But they just haven't had enough good qualities to over come those others. I was bored and uninterested. And yes I know that I'm way to comfortable with the life I've grown accustom to but I really am trying to put myself out there more but I still need someone to make me laugh and make me WANT to see them on a 2nd date. If you don't have a good time on the first date or feel even a smal smal small spark then why go on the 2nd date?
Ribbon, Ribbon, and More Ribbon!
Sunday, September 5, 2010
So if you have read my blog from the beginning you know that I had dabbled in diaper cakes but I never sold any lol. So I have a ton of ribbon left over that I would love to get rid of. It's just sitting there and like everyone else I could use the money lol. It would be great for bows, diaper cakes, or any other project that you need ribbon for. Here's a pic of them and if anyone is interested I can email individual pictures, just leave a comment and leave a comment if you want to purchase some or all :) If it doesn't sell in a week I'm going to try selling at my garage sale I hope to have next weekend, so let me know!
Beeville, TX ....Bee County....South Texas....1 hr from Corpus Christy...2 hrs from San Antonio...
Saturday, September 4, 2010
Well I have decided to move :) And I'm actually doing it this time!! I'm moving to Beeville, Texas. My sister Cymbre and her family live there and it's a little bit bigger than Andrews but not much. I'm so excited! I need a change and get away from things and this is perfect. I will miss my friends and family though. I've applied to some places but not many lol. The kind of jobs that I'm looking for are a bit scarce. I've been looking in the paper online and through other various websites. I also have my resume with SOS Staffing and Snelling in the area as well. I did apply for a job in George West and had a phone interview with them. I was told to call back after 10 am on Friday and I did but the secretary hiring was doing payroll and asked to call me back and I never heard from her. I don't know how to take that exactly lol. I would thnk if I didn't get the job she would've just had the girl tell me that the position has already been filled, but I don't know lol. It's really exciting and I hope to find a job soon. Keep me in your prayers that this is what I'm supposed to be doing. I feel it is though. We shall see :)
Once Upon A Time...There Was This Magical Place Called Myspace....
Thursday, August 5, 2010
I use to blog on my Myspace alllll the time. I started thinking about some of those blogs and would really love to share them with you guys and also have them here so I can go back and read them if for some reason something were to happen to my Myspace lol. Sometime's I think about deleting it but I would hate to delete it and forget to get the blog posts. On most of these you'll see "Listening to:" and on Myspace you can add a song you might be listening to or that may go with your specific blog. So with out further ado....My Myspace Blogs...
Mama Let Me Drive
Mama let me drive
I'm sitting here watching the CMT Giants on Alan Jackson on my DVR and Taylor Swift just finished singing Drive. I love that song. My Mom says that it reminds her of my Dad Dad, but it reminds me of her too (and my Daddy but mostly her lol). When Cymbre and I were younger we'd always take our car whether it be the suburban, my dad's truck, or a little sports car, we knew how to drive all of them by the time we were 13. On any given Saturday or Sunday afternoon you could find us cruising the county roads. Sometime's I think it was to get out of the house and away from my Dad lol but for me it is a special memory. Rollin down Ruskin Rd. with the windows rolled down and Bon Jovi blaring....

I Love These
I was just browsing around online and I found these and loved them.....
Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.
The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.
There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!
Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Where There Is A Patch Of Ice On The Concrete...Christy Shall Find It
Why is it that when there is a patch of ice, a hole, or a lose board on a deck (ha ha you know what I'm talking about) that I have to find it lol? And I also found out that my body doesn't take tumbles like it once did lol. I was walking out of my apt. yesterday to go to church and you guessed it...I found a patch of ice on the sidewalk lol. I'm sure my neighbor got a show cause it was right infront of his window and his blinds were open lol. Heck I'm laughing right now just thinking about it. And like some of my falls it was in slow motion. I hit my knee's first, then I through my purse in the air, and then that's when the rest of my body hit the ground. It was classic. I wish some of you would have seen it so you could get a good chuckle. Needless to say I did not make it to church. I was already running a little late and after that I didn't even try lol. My whole body is sooooo sore today. It feels like someone beat the crap out of me. Well I did get the crap beat out of me only it was by concrete and not a human lol. Well I just had to share that w/ you all. I found it funny lol and thought you all would too.

Plus One
Plus one. I've never been bothered by that phrase until here recently. My company Christmas party is coming up and I'm in charge of it. Every RSVP that I've recieved there has been a plus one on it. I was looking at the overall list and there is a plus one next to everyone's name except mine. I've gotten used to the single life and I'm fine with it. I know that God has a great plan for my life and it's totally in his hands but I would like to have a "plus one" for some events. Sometimes it's not fun being the token single person.

Dance As If No One Is Watching
Dance as if no one were watching.....
Current mood: blah
I recieved a cross Sunday from my best friend that says "Dance as if no one were watching, sing as if no one were listening, live every day as it were your last". I already do the dancing part and the singing lol but I haven't been able to "live every day as if it were your last". How does one exactly get the courage to do that. Does God just give them so much confidence that they feel they can? I don't feel that he's ever given it to me. I can pretty much speak what's on my mind except for a few things. Sitting here right now I think "What if tomorrow is my last day here, what would I have wanted said?" and what comes to mind that I would want to tell someone I still couldn't. What if tomorrow came and I was still here and I did tell this person something and made a total idiot of myself. I have came close to "living like every day is my last" but when it comes down to it......I can't. I hope one day God gives me the courage to say what I want to say to the person I want to say it to. Until then though I hope that any of you that God has granted the courage to, that you live enough for all of us that don't have it lol.

My Dad
Well kids, I think I can also speak for my sister and say that we had an amazing time with our Dad this past weekend. It was so much freakin fun! I went over on Friday and stayed the night and then we got up early on Saturday and went fishing. My grandmother and cousin Elliott went as well. I haven't been fishing in some time but it's pretty much like riding a bike lol. You don't forget. As you get older you might be more aware of what your touching and ookie it can be (aka live worms jumping from your hands so you don't put the on the hook or when you switch to liver how slimey it is lol) but other than that it's the same. We didn't go to a lake but we went to this place called The Fishing Hole. It's free to fish there and you just have to buy the fish that you catch. They also gut and clean up the fish and cut them into filet's for you. My grandmother had found it about a year or so ago and had been going there but we hadn't made a trip to it. It's on the outside of Seminole and they have about three ponds. 2 of them have cat fish and the other one has bass. Everyone was spread out w/ my dad on one side, me and cymbre together on one, Grandmother at another pond, and Elliott at the pond w/ the bass. Cymbre caught the first fish and it was hillarious. She was screaming "I got one, I got one" and I'm running around trying to find the freakin net lol. So then she caught another one! Right after she had caught the first one lol. I was shortly behind her. Well my dad and Elliott were not going to let the girls beat them and provide dinner so they decided to actually start fishing and catch something lol. My grandmother also caught some. We ended up catching 45.5 lb's of catfish (I think that .5 was the bass that Elliott actually caught lol) in an hour and half!!! It was great! So after we broke my dad's bank account lol getting the fish we left. We headed back to Andrews and ate lunch. I went visiting that afternoon and caught up w/ some friends that I don't get to see to often these days so that was extra nice! That night we had a huge fish fry and my sister and I actually got to cook for the family. It was great! I was really worried about how my catfish would turn out but it turned out really well. Cymbre decided to make hush puppies and bless her heart she started to make them and she said "The mix is ready" and I said "ok give me a min. to get the catfish out of the grease". Then she started laughing. She had forgotten to put corn meal in the mix. So she had a flour based hush puppie mix lol. She through that out and I had corn meal left over so she just made a batch with that and they turned out fabulously. I can not wait until our next fishing trip. It was a great time to spend w/ my dad.

Furr's Parking Lot
Furr's Parking Lot
Current mood: loved
I was sitting at home last night watching T.V. and I flipped it to GAC and this song was playing. Natasha had told me about it but I still hadn't heard it till then. It's Chris Cagle's new one "Walmart Parking Lot". Oh my gosh! For the one's that grew up in Andrews this song could have the title "Furr's Parking Lot" and it would totally be describing us. This is the chorus:
So every weekend night we would all go down , there were freak sand hippies in my high school , football players all tryin to be cool , and everyboy scramblin' to hide their beer , when the cops drove by 'til the coast was clear , kids fallin in and out a' love , On the hoods 'a Chevy's, in the beds 'a trucks,we were stumblin' our way through life ' til our senior year, but man, we sure did learn a lot , In that Wal-Mart parking lot
As I was watching the video all sorts of memories started coming back from our days in the Furr's parking lot. That's where Johnny gave me the infamous nick name that to this day there are a few people that still call me that and it's ok because it was given to me by one of my best friends and only those that are allowed to call me that feel privaleged because I don't let just anyone call me Big Dog. When the movie theater had closed and they left there sign up at the parking lot Robbie and I used to write our names w/ the letters lol. It would be up for a few weeks for everyone to drive by and see lol. It was so much fun just sitting up there hanging out w/ everyone and no cares in the world. Those were some great times. Thanks for all the memories Furrs! lol

ATLANTA!!!
Current mood: cheerful
I had a fabulous time!!! It ws so much fun! I got in late so we just hung out at my sister and Mike's house that night. Saturday we got up and went to Hampton (subburb of Atlanta) and visited some of there friends and who they lived w/ after Katrina. We also went to Atlanta Motor Speedway. That was neat. They said that you can pay to take your car out on the track. I tried to talk Cymbre into it but she wasn't going for it lol. That afternoon we went to the Coca Cola museum. That was alot of fun. Especially when we got to the part where you can try all the different products that they make. We laughed so hard in the international one. There are some disgusting soda's out there lol. That night we went and rented In Her Shoes. It's so good! I could totally relate to the sisters in the sense that my sister may drive me nuts sometimes but I wouldn't make sense with out her. Sunday we slept in (missed church...oops) and then went and ate at the Atlanta Bread Company. If you ever are in the area and there is one EAT AT IT!!! It's way better than McAllisters. Then Cymbre and I went to the CNN Center. That was fun. We saw where Headline News and shows like that are filmed and made. Later we went to church and oh my gosh! That thing is ginormas! I may have the numbers wrong but I believe there are like 5,000 members and 2,000 avg. attendee's. Mark Wills is a member. lol Just had to through that out there and by the way he lives in the same neighborhood as my sister and I was very disappointed w/ his house lol. We went and ate at the Varsity. Another place that if there is one around go and eat at!! They have the best chili dogs and it's a fun atmosphere. Anyone that's ever been to Buddy's in Andrews and thought they were rude....go eat at the Varsity lol. They yell at you and stuff...it's great lol. Monday afternoon we went shopping and hung out. Got a great deal on a Dooney and Burke purse. Monday night we went to a ladies night out thing at there church. Candace Cameron Bure from Full House was the speaker. She did an awsome job. She pretty much gave her testimony (which was awsome) and spoke about getting back on your walk with God. We got to meet her and now that I look at the picture I feel kinda silly. lol I didn't realize how much my sister and I dressed alike that night! lol Oh well. You win some and lose some! lol But it was a great trip. It was nice to get away and especially to see my sister and Mike.
Who Needs Sleep?
Current mood: drained
Honestly sleep is overrated lol. Or one would think that was my motto this weekend! lol Thurs. I went with friends to The Ranch to see Wade Bowen and West 84 and they put on a great show! I didn't get home and in bed till 3 and had to be up at 6 for a safety meeting. Christy was a tired girl on Fri. I left work early so I could go home and take a nap before our company Christmas party, which was great by the way lol. Then after the party I went to see Stoney Larue at Dos. He put on an awsome show also. The turn out could have been better but you would have never known with the way Stoney performed. It was the first time I had ever seen him perform but he has another fan now lol. I've listened to his music but have never seen him in concert. I hope he comes out this way again soon. He was in Lubbock the next night but I didn't think I could handle another road trip to Lubbock right now (can I get an amen from Kyla and Kelley? lol). Saturday just went to Ragan's and hung out and that's about it for Sat. lol. I hope everyone's doing great and had a great and safe weekend! Much Love~~~~~Christy

My 2nd Job
Monday, August 2, 2010
So I know everyone get's tired of people clogging up the status updates with Scentsy stuff so I decided to write this blog instead:
Back in Feburaury I was struggling with the thought of having to get a 2nd job. I've always worked 2 jobs for most of my adult life but as much as I love my JC Penny girls I just couldn't go back for the 100th time lol. My friend Jacey had been talking about Scentsy on her facebook and I thought "hmm...I've never done the independent consultant thing before so I might as well try it. It's only $99" so I went to her site and clicked join and so it began :) It honestly has been the easiest and most fun part time job I have ever had. When she told me that it can sell it's self sometimes I didn't really believe her (sorry Jacey! lol) but she wasn't lying! You make great commision plus bonus'. I participated in my first contest that went on from April-July and I earned a free Wii and a $100 Best Buy gift card! And I was close to being in the top 100 and if I had made it I would have earned a free trip to Boston! The qualifying for the next incentive trip starts this month and runs through January 31st where I have a chance to earn a free trip for me or me and a guest to Walt Disney World :) And if you know me you know I love Walt Disney World lol I've been 3 times and am always looking for an excuse to go back lol. So Scentsy girls....I'll be your tour guide ha! Scentsy is a great family company and I am so glad to be apart of it :) Thanks Jacey for getting me involved!

All Aboard The Weight Loss Train....WOOOOOO WOOOOOO
Thursday, July 1, 2010
I'm on it again :) I hadn't gained anything from where I left off so that is so awesome! It's been a week and it's been pretty good. I'm going to weigh in on Tuesdays on my own. I'm going to do it that way until I feel I need to go back to meetings. I got back on 3 Fat Chicks message boards again and that has really helped. I love that website. When I did this a couple of years ago and was very successful (60 lb's loss) I was on that website all the time. It is such a great place for motivation and to talk to people going through the exact same thing your going through. There are threads for 20 year old, 30 yr old, 50 yr old, Weight Watchers, South Beach, people who have had gastric bypass, some for people that need to lose 30 pounds to 100 lbs. It's such a great website. I can't say enough of this website lol. If your trying to do weight loss and need to talk to people that are in the same boat as you I highly recommend it :)
On another note, my sister and Mike brought the kids from there youth group to Midland for their mission trip and I haven't really got to talk to them to much but I think it's going well. They had a few obstacles but they worked through them. My mom kept Ranston 4 nights and took him to work with her lol. She sent one picture of him sitting on her desk in his bumbo and he looked bored lol. Poor little feller...but tonight he is staying with his other grandparents and then tomorrow he is going to visit his Pop (my dad) and then he's going to spend the night with me :) I can't wait! I want to spend as much time as I can with him since they live 7 hrs away lol.

Maybe Baby, It's You

In the last year of me being in American Business Womens Association for our dinner theatre I had decided to do this amazing show called "Maybe Baby, It's You". I first heard about this show because Tori Spelling met her ex husband while performing this show and he happened to be one of the writers. When I was reading her book Stori Telling I was reminded of it and went and searched the publishing company and ordered a copy. When I got it I was hooked the first scene lol. I had my friends Scott and Laura read it as well and they loved it too. We ended up having to cancel the dinner theatre and did not get to do the show. Well yesterday I had lunch with Scott, Laura, Janet and Axton and Scott and I were talking and I told him I still really wanted to do that show. He suggested that we could do it as a fundraiser for our MS team. What a brillliant idea lol! Hopefully we get started on it soon. We already have idea's about director, location, food, etc. so hopefully we'll get on the ball. I'll keep ya posted and if your in the West Texas area you'll have to come see the show and donate money for a great cause :)

Someone Else's Star
Bryan White
Alone again tonight without someone to love.
The stars are shining bright so one more wish goes up.
Oh, I wish I may and I wish with all my might.
For the love I'm dreaming of and missing in my life.
You'd think that I could find a true love of my own.
It happens all the time to people that I know.
Their wishes all come true so I've got to believe.
There's still someone out there who is meant for only me.
I guess I must be wishing on someone else's star.
It seems like someone else keeps gettin what I'm wishing for.
Why can't I be as lucky as those other people are?
I guess I must be wishing, on someone else's star.
I sit here in the dark and stare up at the sky,
But I can't give my heart one good reason why.
Everywhere I look it's lovers that I see.
It seems like everyone's in love with everyone but me.

So I haven't posted in a while lol. I'm down 17 lbs :) officially, 37 unofficially lol. I had lost 20 lbs before we started so I'm pretty happy with it.
My sister, Mike, and Ranston are coming to visit and I can not wait! I haven't got to see him since he was 2 days old. He's a whole month old now. They just grow up so fast....lol.
My friend Scott has MS and when he was diagnosed he became very involved with the support group. I believe last year was the first year of him being involved with the walk. I went and helped him and his wife with the walk last year but wasn't involved on the money raising part of it. This year I am involved from the very begining :). We only have about 44 days left and we are getting together this weekend to set our team goal. I set my personal goal for $500. I don't know if I can do it but I think it would be amazing if I could. It would be even more amazing if I exceeded it but hey I'll start with $500 :) If you would like to donate please go to my personal page and you can make an online donation or if you'd like to mail a check contact me and I'll give you my address or if you'd like to donate cash and your in the area I can come and pick it up. Thanks in advance!!

Sweet little Ranston made his debut!! I love him so much! lol. Monday Feburary 15th my sister called my mom at 5:45 am and said we are fixing to go to the hospital...so my mom calls me and says "Get up, get your stuff together cause we are fixing to go to Victoria". So I get up and get my stuff together and we left Odessa about 7:30 am. After our 7 1/2 hour drive and even us going to the wrong hospital ( don't ask lol) we made it 30 minutes before she had him. Yea!!
Since we left on a Monday that meant I wouldn't be in Odessa for my weigh in on Tuesday :( So I texted the leader of our group and she asked if I could weigh myself while I was here and I lost 3 lbs!!! I was so excited because I was worried that I would have stayed the same or gained a pound because on Thursday I started to feel really crappy. I was lightheaded and nose was burning lol kinda like sinus stuff. It lasted until Sunday afternoon. Thank goodness cause I couldn't have been around Ranston if I were sick. But I did end up losing my voice last night because I talked on the phone alot of the way down to Victoria and sang alot lol. Crazy how that happened huh?

Well I had my second weigh in last night and I lost 4 lbs!!! I was so happy lol. I had been doing great and sticking to plan but for some reason I just wasn't sure. It'll take a few weigh in's I think for me to not be that way. I was the biggest loss this week on my team! Yea! I was in such a grouchy irritable mood (it's kinda spilled over to today) and wasn't going to work out when I went to weigh in but decided to. I felt so much better afterwards! I hope today's work out goes the same. They finally opened the pool back up from getting maintanence done and I want to swim but not today. Robbie's been going to the gym with me and even though we listen to our ipods and dont chat that much it's been nice just having someone there and to ride with me.
We are still waiting on Ranston to be here. He apparently is like his mother and is being stubborn...j/k sister lol. His due date isn't until the 18th but I hate just sitting here waiting for a phone call to leave for Beeville/Victoria. I'm just worried I won't make it in time. Cymbre sent me a pic of a onsie she saw at Beall's there and I have to go see if it is at our store. It's so cute!! When I get it I'll post a picture :)

Big Random Blog and It Ends With a Loss
Tuesday, February 2, 2010
Soooooo much going on lol. So I found a picture that I wanted to share on my blackberry from my trip to my sisters. When we were in Houston and waiting on the plane I saw this:
It is a machine that you put money into and it has all sorts of different cords to charge phones and ipods and such lol. I had never seen one before! That is the greatest invention ever! Because I don't carry my charger with me, I always put it in my suitcase but what if I had some down time in the airport and wanted to add some battery power to my phone all I have to do is put a couple of dollars in there and plug it up lol.
The alumni football game was this past weekend and it was so much fun!!! Angela and I got there and the line was waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy long lol. When we finally got through the line/consession line and got our tickets we moved to the next long line to get in. That line went pretty fast though. Andrews was on the visitors side so we had to walk down and walk on the track across to the visitors side. The game had already started and I prayed as we walked I didn't get smacked in the head. If it would happen to anyone it would be me that it happened to lol. Cymbre really wanted to go but couldn't since she is about to have my little Ran Ran lol (I just came up with that nickname lol) so I was texting her through out the game and I sent her a picture:
The guys played so good! It was a really good game and alot of fun. I was really proud of them. AND none of our guys got hurt! lol. I did feel bad for the Monahans team because there was 2:13 left in the game and one of there guys broke his leg. I read on the Facebook page for the game that he had to have a plate and some screws put in and he's doing good.
And for the loss.....I lost 6 lbs this week!!!!! Yea me!!!! I was so worried I was going to be the slacker of the group but I did pretty good I think. I don't know why I felt that way because I did everything I was supposed to and didn't even cheat lol! I still haven't had a Dr. Pepper :) and I was really tempted today cause I went to Cassidy's for lunch and oh man they have good Dr. Peppers lol. Tonight I upped my cardio by 15 minutes. I wasn't sure if I could do it but I did and felt great when I was done. I love working out with what makes me want to continue to work out. I think that's the key to working out. Finding something you enjoy doing because there are so many times that people attempt to work out and quit because they don't enjoy it. When I did this last time when I had gotten down quite a bit and couldn't swim because it was cold I started Yoga Booty Ballet. I can not wait until I can pull that dvd out and do it with out problems lol. But for now I like doing the cardio and will add swimming to it when the pool opens in about a week :)

Today was good. Stayed on program :) I was supposed to go to the chiropractor today but I ended up having to work till 6. That's always fun when someone comes in at 4:45 pm and can't give me a sample (I do drug testing for the ones that don't know lol) and I end up having to be there forever. So I just ended up canceling and just going to work out. I love working out on Friday nights lol. There was no one there hardly. It was really nice having my choice of machine. I'm going to go tomorrow before I get my oil changed so I hope it's the same way. I'm going to mosey into the weight room and check it out. I really wish the pool was open lol. So I don't think I'm going to blog everyday about this. I pretty much am saying the same thing over and over and over lol. I feel like I should just copy and paste lol. I'll probably blog about it again on Tuesday after I weigh in. Hope everyone has a happy weekend :)
4th Day
Thursday, January 28, 2010
Today was a good day :) I didn't get to go work out today at the gym because the weather was pretty crappy here but I did do yoga booty ballet here at my house. I love ybb. The one in partiuliar that I have is called "Latin Flavor" lol except they pronounce it "Flava" lol. It's alot of fun. I have drank so much water today lol. I feel like every 5 min. I'm going to the restroom. Aw, the joys of water. The gift that keeps on giving lol. I did very well on my eating too. Still stuck to program. I did go to Sonic and get a medium Diet Cherry Limeade. I had never had one before but I'm still staying away from Dr. Pepper's even if it is a Diet Dr. Pepper lol so I decided to try those. They are pretty good. They'll come in handy when I need a fix. I am having a problem though. I have been itching to go get coffee. We don't have a Starbucks but we have a great coffee shop here called Cpl Ray's (which in my oppionion is better lol :) but I have no idea what to order lol. I can't order what I use to because there are 3432343423433234 calories in it lol. I do like just regular coffee with splenda and creamer but is there a way to order something like a white chocolate mocha that I can have? I know there are sugar free stuff but I'm just not sure. If anyone is reading this and has a suggestion let me know lol!
Three Days...Wash The Road Out Of My Soul...Three Days....Love You Out Of Control

Day #3 :) It went really good. I found out that we are doing our weekly weigh in on Tuesdays so I'll be posting results then. But as far as my day went I stuck to my eating plan and did fantastic. I even stepped out and ate lunch at Western Grill with the girls. I can't remember if I have mentioned it in an earlier blog but HEB has these individual size apple and brown sugar oatmeal that is out of this world! lol. It is 10 times better than Quaker Oats for sure AND it's low cal, low fat, and high in fiber lol and we all know fiber is our friend lmao. It's what makes the weightloss world go round.....lol. At lunch I had a small grilled chicken breast and a little bit of mashed potatoes and a little bit of green beans lol. I say little bit of green beans because I'm not the biggest fan of veggies. Well I love salads and of course the starchy veggies lol. I've acknowledge the fact that in order to have better eating habits and to make this successful you have to eat your veggies. When at home I cook french cut green beans because I seem to eat those better. And I've also learned that I have to eat them first before anything else because other wise I won't eat them lol. Just a few little tricks I learned about myself the last time I was successful at this. I went to work out but didn't work out as long as I wanted to. I started to not feel to hot so I decided that I better stop while I was ahead lol. For dinner I had a sandwhich with Sara Lee Delightful bread (1 point for 2 slices if your doing Weight Watchers lol). I also found Lays light are better for you than Baked Lays. Oh and I also had a banana. So all in all it was a good day.
Day 2!
Wednesday, January 27, 2010
Hi my name is Christy and I haven't had a Dr. Pepper since January 22, 2010....Well day 2 went good! I just stuck to cardio again but next week I'm going to incorporate some arm stuff in the weight room. The pool isn't open right now because they are making repairs but when it opens back up I will prob. try to make a water areobics class or just go and do my own thing cause I love being in the water. My eating went really good too. I stayed on target and didn't eat anything i wasn't supposed to :) I also have been getting all of my water in. I bought a disposable 2 gallon container at HEB when I went grocery shopping so I wouldn't drink all of the water at my office. I need to buy one that I can refill. I'm going to blog again tonight so I can give you an update on Day 3 (today) and be caught up where I can always blog at the end of every day. Who knows....I may even blog from the treadmill lol.

The alumni football game is this weekend!! It's going to be so much fun! My friends and I are all planning on going. I hope my expectations aren't to high lol. When I was in high school we had the best football teams. And Andrews had great teams even till after my sister graduated in 01. But I don't know what happened in the last 8 years because the teams haven't been real great. I went to a few games and it was like the crowd just sat there and nobody cheered (except there really wasn't anything to cheer about lol) and everyone was just there to chat. The coaches are Tyson Deaver and Nick Blackmon. I think they'll do great also! I wish it could've turned into a reunion weekend or something. Who knows...it still might lol. I don't know who all is coming in for it but it'll be fun. We should plan to meet at the "Furr's" parking lot :) except I just read that it's been moved to Ratliff Stadium.....bummer....
Day 1!
Tuesday, January 26, 2010
Well it's been day 1 and I've done good so far! lol. We met last night for our first weigh in and guess what! I had lost 20 lbs from the last time I weighed myself lol. I was pretty excited! I was expecting the worst! Of course it doesn't count for the contest but it counts to me :) When I got there I didn't know exactly where to go but ended up meeting one of my team mates and he and I went to the back and weighed in while we waited on Stephanie and our other team member. When Stephanie got there we did a mock weigh in for the camera and then we went to the cardio room. We did 30 min. of cardio and it wasn't bad at all. I was so nervous that they were going to make me do a bunch of stuff that I couldn't do and make me look stupid lol. We just got on treadmills and did that for 30 min. My eating is going good too! But why is it when you are trying to eat better that all you want to do is eat? Or all you think about is food? lol. I think I'm going to make some homemade corn dogs tonight that way I can have them in the fridge and warm up through out the week for either lunch or dinner. Or if it's low enough a snack lol.
Tomorrow, Tomorrow I'll love...er...I mean...I'll Work Out Tomorrow...

Tomorrow is the day! The BL Program starts. I'm excited and nervous lol. I'm excited for the outcome. I went grocery shopping today and it was great to shop how I use to shop. I bought some great things and can't wait to get back to the way things were. I'm nervous though about the first day. I haven't worked out in Lord knows how long lol. I really hope that they aren't hard on me lol....We shall see. They say it takes 21 ddays to form a habit so it shouldn't take anytime at all :)
Big Loser Program :)
Friday, January 22, 2010
Back around my birthday my friend Janet told me about this ad she saw in the Odessa American about a program that the Odessa YMCA was starting and Stephanie Rivas one of the anchors of CBS 7 was getting a group together for it and wanted viewers to send in there story's for her to choose 3 people to join her for her team. They were going to announce on the news on January 5th what to do and where to send it and so on the 5th I set my dvr for the news lol so I wouldn't miss it. When I got home I watched and found out that I needed to send it to her email. I immedietly got my computer and emailed her. Well time went by and I thought she had already picked and didn't pick me. I was wrong!!! lol. This morning my step dad called me at 7 am and said "They just announced that you were picked to be on Stephanie's team for the big loser program" I was like omg are you serious? lol. I seriously thought I wasn't going to get picked because that's how my luck goes lol. But she picked me and 2 others!! I hope she liked my story and picked me for it and not that maybe they didn't have enough people send in for it lol. I'm not sure what all the contest intails but I'll find out Monday :) I can't wait and I'm going to try and blog every day about it. It's a 15 week contest so I feel that if I stick to it like I plan and like I have in the past I can accomplish alot. 2010 has gotten off to a great start!!!
nails, nails, toenails, nails
Thursday, January 7, 2010
I'm going back to doing nails!!!! Yea!! Well just part time lol. One of my bestie's owns her own shop in Andrews and is moving to a bigger building and in town (right around the corner from CRS actually lol very convient...Kristy and I already have plans to meet on the corner of 1st and Broadway to chit chat lol) and I asked her if she was getting a nail tech and asked if I could do it part time and she said yes! Yea!! lol. I'm excited. I hope it works out. Not work out working with Kristy cause been there done that 20 times over lol but doing nails in Andrews. I hope that I meet the customer's expectations. It's hard competeing with the Vitamese shops. The product they use is ridiculous lol. I know I'll do good though. She is hoping to move in Feb. 1st but I told her I wouldn't be ready to be there then but still wanted to be there. I still have some of my stuff from the last time I leased a station but I need to get a few more things and get my independent contractors license. It's so exciting and I hope I build a successful nail business here :) I can't believe I've been a nail tech for 10 years!
Happy Post Holidays!
Tuesday, January 5, 2010
I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday!!! Mine started out kinda rocky but ended up being good. I started the week out by going to Odessa to have Christmas with my mom and Craig. It was a good time but missed having my sister and Mike there. My mom made chicken crescent rolls (my great grandmother Molly's recipe...yum) and after we ate we opened gifts. I got a new pair of Justin's and they are so freakin comfy lol. Over the years I've definatly turned into a flip flop and boot kind of gal. My friends are into heals and I'm like show me where the Yellowbox's are lol. I also got a gift card to JC Penney. Most of ya'll know but I worked at JCP on and off in the salon as the nail tech for 7 years. Before going to work for them I don't remember ever hardly shopping there but I love shopping there now lol. I used my gift card New Years day to get a new vacuum. You definatly know your getting older when you find joy and excitement in purchasing a vacuum lol. It was definatly a small Christmas on my end but I got my Mom a Women of Faith daily devotional and Craig the book on the man that was in his 50's playing football for Sul Ross (the title left me lol....). Then on Christmas eve I went to dinner at my Grandmother's with my Dad, Uncle Mark, Aunt Chris, and Emily. She made enchilada's, beans, cornbread, and ordered a cake for mine and my dad's birthday's. When the lady asked what she wanted on it and what we were into she said "Well he's a cross country truck driver and she likes to play bunco" and so she put a truck with dice on it lol. It was cute :). My pops got me and ipod touch...yea!!! I've moved into the here and now section of the technology world lol. I love it! I had uploaded all my cd's to my laptop a while back and I had enough to play continuesly for 3.5 days lol...can you tell I love music? My dad also got me an Xpress 101! Finally!! I've wanted one forever! I'm sure you've all seen the inormercial with the older lady with the red hair and she makes all this stuff and makes it look so good and easy. Well it is super easy! Plus, with it just being me it is totally helping with serving sizes. I suggest anyone that is cooking for one purchase one. My Grandmother got me the perfect brownie pan and that works awesomely also. I love random kitchen gadgets lol. I got my dad a gift card to Barnes and Noble so he can get himself a book on cd to listen to on the road. My tradition on Christmas eve is to go to my Nana's and stay the night with her and the next morning we wake up and my cousin's come over for breakfast. It was super fun this year because little miss Rori Tatum and Drake were there. She got her very first Cabbage Patch Doll :) Later that night we all got back together and had enchilada's (yes I had enchiladas twice for the holidays lol), rice, etc. It was alot of fun getting together with everyone. My mom and Craig went to Cymbre's. Since she is so close to her due date she couldn't travel and they want to be there for the church that Mike works for's Christmas eve service. That following Monday was my 29th birthday. I do not know why but I had a really hard time with my birthday this year. I use to love my birthday but this year I wanted it to disapear. I'm better now but it was a rough week with that lol. New Year's eve Angela and I went to Hunter and Meg's for a get together. Nolan, Hunter, Meg, Humberto, Collin, Collin's girlfriend, Sumer, Scott, Rori, and Drake were there too. We played games and had alot of fun. It was a great holiday for the most part and was glad for the time off but a new year is here and time for new beginnings. I'm excited to change in 2010. It's gonna start soon and I hope to keep track of my process on here. I don't like to make a resolution so I'm going to say call it a goal. What are YOUR goals for 2010?
Drake snug as a bug in a rug...
Rori insisted on putting some of her Goldfish crackers on her breakfast plate
Hurry up Nannie....
We were the only one's in our pj's....I tried to get the other's to participate but no one wanted to lol
